Warranty Information

1. Definition of Terms

Product – Refers to any hardware manufactured for or by Volta bearing the “Volta” trademark, trade name, or logo that is purchased directly from Volta.
Original Purchaser – any consumer that purchases and has possession of a Product directly from Volta
End User – the ultimate consumer of the Product and constitutes anyone who owns and uses an Volta Product.
Date of Original Retail Purchase – the date the Original Purchaser bought the Product from Volta

2. Scope of Warranty

Volta WARRANTS this Volta hardware Product against defects in merchandise and workmanship for a period of Three (3) YEARS from the Date of Original Retail Purchase or otherwise stated during purchase (Usually FIVE (5) years). Else, unless additional parts or labour warranties are purchased, which may extend the terms of warranty to include the replacement of parts for a total of 5 years. Our warranty covers all parts failures and factory defects, but does not cover accidental user damage or normal day to day wear and tear for notebook batteries.

Volta warrants the original purchaser that any part of the hardware system, excluding software, documentation and similar terms will be free of defects of both workmanship and materials for the warranty period include with the purchase. (Starting from date of collection or delivery.)

Volta’s onsite pickup and return warranty is only avaliable within Singapore. Shipping costs from other locations overseas will not be borne by Volta.

2.1 – Coverage
Volta warrants the original purchaser that any part of the Product, excluding software,documentation and other peripherals, will be free of defects of both workmanship and materials for the warranty period include with the purchase. The date of warranty coverage starts from the date of collection or delivery of the Product.

During the product’s warranty period, Volta will repair or replace defective hardware for defects specified and found in the Product. This will be done without any labour charge (free of charge) and cost of parts will also be provided free of charge during the warranty period. Parts may not be the same but will be equivalent or better parts.

Volta shall, under no circumstances, be liable to provide warranty service for products that have been damaged by accident, abuse, misuse or misapplication, for example unauthorized overclocking. This also applies if the Volta service tag has been removed or defaced or if the product has been modified without textual agreement from VoltaPC.

Any replacement parts will be warranted to be free of defects of workmanship and material for 3 months from time of replacement, or for the remainder of the warranty period of the Volta Product it is replacing (whichever is longer).

2.2 – What is covered:

a. Volta covers all hardware issues during your warranty period. 
b. Lifetime support. Volta does not charge a labour fee for repair and servicing work during the warranty period. Outside of the warranty period, fees will only be for parts or specially requested services.

2.3 – Out of coverage scope

a. Accidental damage such as water spills, drops or physical breakage due to an accident.
b. Loss of data or costs for data recovery due to drive damage or failure are not covered by the warranty. The faulty hardware drive will be replaced under.
c. Any other events that might not be defined at this time of writing.

2.4 – For products with screen displays – Dead Pixel Policy

LCD Panels are made of millions micro electronic pixels, if one pixel no longer functions normally, it will become a bright or dark dot. Volta conforms to the industry premium standard acceptance level of between 2 to 4 defective bright/dark pixels. In order to deliver ultimate vision experience to our customers, if your panel is less than or equal to the above number of dots, then, it is considered as acceptable. A zero dead pixel guarantee is optional for customers when configuring a system.

2.5 – Procedure for warranty claim

If a defect is found in a purchased Volta Product, contact the Volta service centre through telephone (6950 3128) or email ([email protected]). Alternatively, the Product can be brought down to the Volta service centre (8 Burn Road #01-04, Trivex, Singapore 369977). Full purchaser information will be required for every case logged which includes Name, Address, Contact Number and Warranty Serial Tag and invoice.

If the Volta service centre is contacted through telephone or email, Volta will endeavour to provide guidance to diagnose or solve the problem.

If the problem cannot be resolved over the phone / mail, the User will be responsible to either carry in the Product to our Service Centre or to mail it in. Alternatively, a collection service can be opted for, and relevant charges will apply. Return shipping will be provided for free by Volta. The free return shipping is only available to End Users in Singapore.

Volta will, at its option and to the extent permitted by law: (1) repair the Product (using new or refurbished replacement parts); (2) replace the Product with a product that is new or which has been manufactured from new or serviceable used parts and is at least functionally equivalent to the original product; or (3) issue a partial refund of the original purchase price of the Product, if for some reason, the Product cannot be repaired or replaced—provided you return it during the parts warranty period owned.

3 – Volta’s Limited Warranty Obligations

Items such as BATTERIES, AC ADAPTERS AND EXTERNAL ACCESSORIES SHALL BE CLASSIFIED AS CONSUMABLE PARTS. THE WARRANTY PERIOD FOR BATTERIES AND AC ADAPTERS IS LIMITED TO ONE (1) YEAR FROM THE DATE OF ORIGINAL RETAIL PURCHASE.

In the event that Volta decides to refund (the value of ) or replace the product, the term of this warranty shall expire as of the time of that refund or replacement.

EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN THIS WARRANTY AND TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VOLTA IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ANY BREACH OF WARRANTY OR CONDITION, OR UNDER ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF USE; LOSS OF REVENUE; LOSS OF ACTUAL OR ANTICIPATED PROFITS (INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS ON CONTRACTS); LOSS OF THE USE OF MONEY; LOSS OF ANTICIPATED SAVINGS; LOSS OF BUSINESS; LOSS OF OPPORTUNITY; LOSS OF GOODWILL; LOSS OF REPUTATION; LOSS OF, DAMAGE TO, COMPROMISE OR CORRUPTION OF DATA; OR ANY INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS OR DAMAGE HOWSOEVER CAUSED INCLUDING THE REPLACEMENT OF EQUIPMENT AND PROPERTY, ANY COSTS OF RECOVERING, PROGRAMMING, OR REPRODUCING ANY PROGRAM OR DATA STORED IN OR USED WITH THE APPLE PRODUCT OR ANY FAILURE TO MAINTAIN THE CONFIDENTIALITY OF INFORMATION STORED IN THE PRODUCT.

THE FOREGOING LIMITATION SHALL NOT APPLY TO DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CLAIMS, OR ANY STATUTORY LIABILITY FOR INTENTIONAL AND GROSS NEGLIGENT ACTS AND/OR OMISSIONS. APPLE DISCLAIMS ANY REPRESENTATION THAT IT WILL BE ABLE TO REPAIR ANY APPLE PRODUCT UNDER THIS WARRANTY OR REPLACE THE APPLE PRODUCT WITHOUT RISK TO OR LOSS OF INFORMATION STORED ON THE PRODUCT.

No Volta reseller, agent, or employee is authorized to make any modification, extension, or addition to this Warranty. If any term is held to be illegal or unenforceable, the legality or enforceability of the remaining terms shall not be affected or impaired. This Warranty is governed by and construed under the laws of the country in which the Volta Product purchase took place. Volta is identified at the end of this document according to the country or region in which the Volta Product purchase took place. Volta or its successor in title is the warrantor under this Warranty.

4 – Transferability and availability of Volta Exnteded Warranty

WARRANTY EXTENSIONS MUST BE PURCHASED BY THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER WITHIN NINETY (90) DAYS OF THE PURCHASE DATE OF THE PRODUCT AND MAY NOT BE PURCHASED THEREAFTER.

THIS WARRANTY COVERS THE PRODUCT AND TRANSFERS WITH THE PRODUCT

5 – Cancellation

WARRANTY EXTENSIONS MAY ONLY BE CANCELLED BY THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER WITHIN THIRTY (30) DAYS OF THE PURCHASE OF THE EXTENSION, PROVIDED THAT NO WARRANTY CLAIMS HAVE BEEN PREVIOUSLY MADE ON THE PRODUCT.

6 – Governing Law

This warranty agreement and any sales shall be governed by the laws of Singapore. The courts of Singapore shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any action at law or equity arising out of or relating to these warranty terms or the website.

7 – Free Upgrade Service

Volta guarantees that the PC receives complimentary upgrade service during the warranty period with the condition that parts are supplied by Volta. This is to ensure reliability and quality of the upgrade such that the PC remains free of issues. Upgrade performed by Volta will not void warranty.

8 – Technical support 

Volta shall have the right to fulfill the on-site servicing requests by the Customer with off-site or remote service if Volta reasonably deems that off-site or remote servicing obtains the same results.
